
The swearing-in ceremony for committee members of the Prosecutors’ Committee was held on 18 December 2025, presided by Mr. Tong Hio Fong, President of the Prosecutors’ Committee and Prosecutor General. Other attendees included Assistant Prosecutor General, Ms. Kok Sio Peng and Prosecutor Coordinator, Mr. Lai U Hou. The first committee meeting was held immediately after the ceremony.
In accordance with the Chief Executive dispatch No. 255/2025, under the the recommendation of the Independent Commission for the Recommendation of Judges, the Chief Executive appointed Mr. Pang Chuan and Ms. Un Sio Leng as Committee Members of the Prosecutors’ Committee, effective from 11 December 2025.
The Prosecutors’ Committee is an independent ruling body responsible for the appraisal and disciplinary management of magistrates and judicial officers of the Public Prosecutions Office. The biennial appraisal aims at assessing comprehensively professional abilities and ethics of the aforementioned staff. The committee consists of 5 members, including the Prosecutor General as the ex-officio President, one assistant prosecutor general and one prosecutor elected amongst MP magistrates and two community members appointed by the Chief Executive.
