Relocation Notice of the Office of the Prosecutorial Office at the Primary Court (2025-07-22)

To better fulfill the functions of the Public Prosecutions Office and facilitate the provision of services to the public, the Prosecutorial Office at the Primary Court (Labor Matters), previously located on the Avenida do Infante D. Henrique, no. 47-53, The Macau Square, 15th floor, is relocated to the 4th floor of the same building, effective immediately. Meanwhile, the Prosecutorial Office at the Primary Court (Civil Matters) on the 3rd floor remains unchanged.

The Public Prosecutions Office is committed to safeguarding the rights of workers. In accordance with legal provisions, the Office ex officio represents labors and their dependents in court, including acting on their behalf during litigation arising from workplace accidents or occupational diseases. In cases involving conflicts of interest among multiple parties, the Office prioritizes the protection of workers and their dependents as mandated by law.

Beyond labor-related matters, the Public Prosecutions Office is also vested with the authority to direct criminal investigations and conduct criminal proceedings, including prosecuting identified crimes, supporting public prosecutions during trials, and filing appeals to uphold justice. In civil proceedings, the Office represents individuals lacking legal capacity (e.g., minors, interdicted persons, and quasi-interdicted persons), persons of uncertain status, and missing persons. In safeguarding public interests, the Office participates in bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings and other cases involving public welfare. Additionally, where required by law, the Office represents the Macau Special Administrative Region Government and provides advisory services.
