MP staff members visited the “Centenary of the Chinese Communist Party—Photo Exhibition in Commemoration of the Centenary of the Chinese Communist Party”

Hundred-year long way we marched,

Weathering hardship,

With firm strides,

We are conquering the summit,

Harvesting glory and prosperity!

2021 marks the centenary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC). On this special occasion, over 100 prosecutors and staff members of the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) visited the “Photo Exhibition in Commemoration of the Centenary of the Chinese Communist Party” which is co-organized by the State Council Information Office, the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR .

Prosecutor General, Ip Son Sang, together with almost 20 prosecutors and around 30 staff members, visited the exhibition in the morning on 7 July 2021. Numerous pictures and docent service illustrated CPC’s dedication over the last century, and how the CPC led the whole country and all people in founding the People’s Republic of China, attaining prosperity and affluence.

Prosecutor General, Ip Son Sang, made remarks to MP staff before the visit. Ip believed that visiting the photo exhibition which commemorates the CPC’s centenary on this very sorrowful anniversary of “July 7 Incident” was extremely meaningful. It allows MP staff to learn more about development of the CPC over a century spanning from 1921 to 2021 and the status quo, as well as “confidence in the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics” which is one component of the “Four Matters of Confidence”. Under CPC’s leadership, the Motherland adopted the reform and opening-up policies and hence thrived, expecting better development prospects of the whole country (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions). Citing President Xi Jinping’s idea of “looking at the world on equal footing”, Ip encouraged colleagues to have open discussions on historical and existing issues among ourselves. This exhibition serves as an introduction. It intrigues us to know more about our country’s development and boosts our self-esteem for being a Chinese.

To comply with anti-epidemic measures and maintain normal operation, over 50 other prosecutors and MP staff members visited the CPC centenary photo exhibition on 8 July.
