Prosecutors Represent the MP at the APEC “Promoting Integrity for Economic Prosperity” Workshop (2026-06-23)

On behalf of the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), Prosecutors Leong Choi Man and Ling Lee Celina attended the workshop on “Promoting Integrity for Economic Prosperity” for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Hong Kong on 9 to 10 June 2026. The workshop was co-hosted by the National Commission of Supervision (NCS) and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong. It drew the participation of over 150 representatives from various member economies, international organizations and institutions to engage in in-depth discussions and exchanges surrounding how clean governance promotes economic prosperity and development.

During the keynote speech session, Dr. Kelvin Wong Tin-yau, Chairman of the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong and Chairman of the ICAC Corruption Prevention Advisory Committee, and Ms. Delphine Schantz, Regional Representative for Southeast Asia and the Pacific of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) were invited to share their insights on how integrity shaped economic stability and development. There were also multiple panel discussion sessions on “Strengthening integrity for better livelihoods”, “Building stronger financial systems through integrity” and “Promoting cross-border investment and trade with integrity”.

The workshop and discussions shed insights on international standards for integrity governance, practical norms of regimes for preventing and supervising financial corruption for MP’s prosecutors.
