
On 5 December (Friday), a delegation of the Charity Fund from the Readers of the Macao Daily News visited the Public Prosecutions Office (MP). The delegation comprising of President Ms. Ho Teng Iat, Vice Presidents Mr. Lok Po, Mr. Hoi Kin Cheong and Mr. Au Weng Chi, President of the Board of Directors Mr. Vong Kok Seng, Executive Vice Presidents of the Board of Directors Ms. Ho Hoi Leng and Mr. Kong Kin Hou were received by Prosecutor General Mr. Tong Hio Fong. They exchanged views on the preparations for the “42nd Walk for a Million”.
Mr. Tong acknowledged that the Charity Fund has been upholding its founding mission of “caring for society and supporting the disadvantaged” since its establishment over four decades ago. It relentlessly provides practical assistance to those in need, particularly the less privileged and the impoverished groups, as well as gathers goodwill and implements the charitable motto of “All for One and One for All”. Its selfless contribution lays a solid foundation for the local charitable cause. Mr. Tong pledged that the MP would attach great importance to and fully support this chartable event as always, by encouraging MP members to join the “Walk for a Million” to support charitable cause and pass on the Macao spirit of solidarity and mutual support.
Ms. Ho Teng Iat invited the Prosecutor General to participate in the “Walk for a Million” and expressed gratitude to the MP for its long-standing and strong support for the “Walk for a Million”. She also wished for continuous support and participation of the MP in the future to benefit more people in need.
Chief of the Office of the Prosecutor General Ms. Wong Hio Nam and Deputy Chief of the Office of the Prosecutor General Mr. Ng Meng Tai also attended the meeting on behalf of the MP.
