
On 11 November, a delegation from the “Beijing’s 100 High-End Foreign-Related Legal Talent Training Program” organized by the Beijing Municipal Justice Bureau in conjunction with Peking University Law School, visited the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) of the MSAR, where the two sides exchanged views on the SAR’s judicial system and functioning of the MP, as well as cross-border criminal judicial assistance.
During the meeting, Prosecutor Wu Hio introduced to the delegation the organizational structure, duties, and powers of the MP, with a focus on the differences between the judicial functions and systems of the Macao SAR and Mainland China. Both sides then engaged in lively discussions and exchanges about the judicial systems and practices of the two places.
Through this exchange, the MP looks forward to promoting mutual learning and exchange between both sides, thereby jointly advancing the high-quality development of judicial cooperation across the regions and contributing to the legal development of our country.
