MP receives delegation from Shenzhen People’s Procuratorate “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Legal Training Program” (2025-07-29)

On 24 July 2025, a 25-member delegation from the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Legal Training Program,” organized by the People’s Procuratorate of Shenzhen City, visited the Public Prosecutions Office (MP). The delegation was received by Prosecutors Coordinators Mr. Cheong Kuok Chi and Ms. Sio In Ha, who held a seminar with the participants.

The prosecutors coordinators provided a detailed overview of Macao’s judicial system, including MP’s organizational structure, responsibilities, and competencies, such as leading criminal investigations, ensuring criminal proceedings, safeguarding civil rights, and overseeing legal enforcement. The two sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including legal systems, judicial cooperation, and legal practices between the two regions.

Members of the delegation included Mr. Gan Guiping, Second-Class Inspector of the Judicial & Law Enforcement Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party; Ms. Ma Xiaoge, Deputy Procurator-General of the People’s Procuratorate of Shenzhen City; Mr. Zhang Bin, Procurator of the People’s Procuratorate of Luohu District; Mr. Tian Chunsheng, Procurator of the People’s Procuratorate of Yantian District; Ms. Xu Linghua, Procurator of the People’s Procuratorate of Longhua District.

Attendees from the Public Prosecutions Office of Macao SAR included Ms. Wong Hio Nam, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Prosecutor General and Ms. Cheok Sin Chi, Head of the Judicial Affairs Department.
