MP receives a delegation from the People’s Procuratorate of Fujian Province (2025-06-24)

At the invitation of the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) of Macao SAR, a 7-member delegation led by Ms. Wang Hua, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Procurator-General of the People's Procuratorate of Fujian Province, made an official visit in Macao from 24 to 26 June 2025.

On June 24, the delegation visited the Public Prosecutions Office and was warmly welcomed by the Prosecutor General Mr. Chan Tsz King. During the meeting, Mr. Chan pointed out that over the years, judicial organs of Fujian and Macao have established a solid foundation for cooperation in combating cross-border crimes, deepening judicial assistance, and promoting exchanges of personnel and the rule of law, and having made positive contributions to safeguarding fairness, justice, and social stability. At present, Macao is making every effort to promote the successful implementation of “One Country, Two Systems”, firmly safeguarding national security and continuing to improve the rule of law in the SAR. In this process, MP attaches great importance to collaboration and mutual understanding with prosecution authorities in the Mainland, and looks forward to deepening its cooperation with prosecutorial services in Fujian Province, so as to build up the rule of law for the socio-economic development of the two places. During the meeting, prosecutors of the MP also introduced the system and practice of judicial assistance in Macao SAR, as well as the experience of MP in combating money laundering, telecommunication fraud and drug-related crimes.

Deputy Procurator-General Wang Hua introduced the situation of Fujian Provincial Procuratorate in the construction of rule of law related to foreign affairs and criminal judicial cooperation in combating cross-border crimes, etc. Members of the delegation also demonstrated the achievements of Fujian Province in recent years in combating economic crimes such as fraud and inducing others to make false investments. The People’s Procuratorate of Fujian Province has been able to combat related criminal activities and protect the interests of residents by improving relevant mechanism, utilizing the National Anti-Fraud Center, and other means. Both sides recognized the importance of combating cross-border crimes and looks forward to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation in related areas.

Members of the delegation included Procurator-General of Quanzhou Municipal People’s Procuratorate Mr. Shi Jianqing, Procurator-General of Ningde Municipal People’s Procuratorate Ms. Chen Ying, Deputy Procurator-General of Zhangzhou Municipal People’s Procuratorate Mr. Chen Chao, Director of the First Procuratorate Department of the Fujian Provincial People’s Procuratorate Mr. Chen Mingsheng, Director of the Ninth Procuratorate Department of the Fujian Provincial People’s Procuratorate Mr. Wen Xiaoyong, and Procurator of the Eleventh Procuratorate Department of the Fujian Provincial People’s Procuratorate Ms. Shan Kun.
