Welcome to the Public Prosecutions Office of the Macao Special Administrative Region website.

As a judiciary organ established under the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Organic Law of Judiciary Organization, the Public Prosecutions Office of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MP) exercises statutory prosecutorial functions and duties. In accordance with the law, the MP performs duties independently and free from any interference. It represents the Macao Special Administrative Region in court, presides over criminal investigation, carries out criminal proceedings, maintains legality, defends legally enshrined social and public interests, and exercises competences of monitoring implementation of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region pursuant to procedure laws.
