In accordance with the Prosecutor General’s Dispatch no. 9/2024, Lam In Sang, M.S. and Wong Hio Nam are appointed as Chief and Deputy Chief of the Office of the Prosecutor General (GP), respectively, by commission of service for a one-year term, effective from 20 December 2024.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Macao Special Administrative Region Public Prosecutions Office Building at 15:30 on 10 January 2025. Chief of Office, Lam In Sang and Deputy Chief of Office, Wong Hio Nam were sworn-in by the Prosecutor General, Chan Tsz King, who administered the oath.
Below are the curricula vitae of the new Chief and Deputy Chief of GP:
Lam In Sang, female, holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese-Portuguese Translation, a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
Lam In Sang joined the Public Prosecutions Office of Macao in 1998 as a judicial officer, and was the Chief Clerk at the Office at the Courts of Final Appeal and Second Instance from 2017. Between 2019 and 2021, she served as an advisor at the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC), and the Deputy Commissioner-cum-Director of the Ombudsman Bureau of CCAC between 2021 and 2024.
Wong Hio Nam, female, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Economics and International Finance).
Wong Hio Nam began working as a a judicial officer at the Public Prosecutions Office from 2006. Between 2019 and 2023, she served as the secretary for the Commissioner and Senior Technician (Principal Advisory grade) of CCAC, and advisor at the CCAC between 2023 and 2024.
