Upon the invitation of the Public Prosecutions Office of the Macao SAR (MP), the Deputy Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the PRC (SPP), Mr. Gong Ming, led a delegation to Macao to attend the SAR’s opening ceremony of the 2023/2024 Judicial Year officiated by the Chief Executive. The delegation also visited MP for work exchanges.

During their visit to MP on 19 of October, the Prosecutor General, Mr. Ip Son Sang introduced MP’s operations to the delegates, and both parties discussed practical work of the Procuratorate in the two places, especially in the areas of intellectual property rights protection and information infrastructure. The meeting was fruitful, and both sides expressed their willingness to continue to strengthen mutual communication and co-operation.

Members of the SPP delegation included: Chief of Intellectual Property Rights Procuratorial Office Liu Taizong, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Bureau Li Xin, Second-level Inspector Guo Mingcong and Secretary Kang Youxin; other MP officers attending the meeting were Assistant Prosecutors General Mai Man Ieng and Choi Keng Fai, Prosecutor Coordinator Ho Man, Prosecutor Wu Hio and Deputy Chief of the Office of Prosecutor General Wu Kit I.
