At the invitation of People's Procuratorate of Guangdong Province, Prosecutor General, Mr. Ip Son Sang, led a delegation of the Macao SAR Public Prosecutions Office for a visit to prosecutorial services in Guangdong Province on 17 and 18 April 2023, to further deepen the exchange and cooperation between prosecutorial services of Guangdong and Macao.

During the visit, the delegation of Macao SAR exchanged views with the People’s Procuratorate of Guangdong Province on topics such as recent development trends in prosecutorial services, and judicial work and practices. The two parties also discussed the strengthening of mechanism on judicial cooperation, as well as expansion of communication and cooperation between the Public Prosecutions Office of Macao SAR and the Procuratorate of Guangdong-Macao in-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, to further the development of prosecutorial services in the Cooperation Zone.

The delegation also visited the People's Procuratorate of Guangzhou City and the Procuratorate of Guangdong-Macao in-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, to better understand the operation of the two prosecutorial services, and exchanged ideas on future development.

Members of the Macao SAR Public Prosecutions Office delegation included: Assistant Prosecutor General, Mr. Mai Man Ieng; Chief of Office of the Prosecutor General, Mr. Tam Peng Tong; Prosecutors, Mr. Wu Hio, Ms. Cheang Weng In, Mr. Pak Wa Ngai; and others.
