Prosecutorial Office at the Primary Court (Civil and Family Affairs Section)
The Prosecutorial Office at the Primary Court (Civil and Family Affairs Section) is mainly responsible for:
Representing the MSAR, the MSAR Public Treasury, incapacitated persons (e.g. interdicted persons and quasi-interdicted persons), unknown persons and missing persons in civil cases;
Representing minors in family affairs cases;
Participating in legal proceedings involving minors, such as adoption, parental rights and inheritance;
Participating in cases involving educational tutelage system for juvenile offenders;
Participating in cases involving general social protection measures;
Participating in judicial proceedings relating to bankruptcy or insolvency.
Prosecutorial Office at the Primary Court (Labour Section)
The Prosecutorial Office at the Primary Court (Labour Section) is mainly responsible for:
Representing workers and their families in accordance with the law in employment claims cases;
Representing workers who suffer from work injuries or occupational diseases or their legal beneficiaries in work injury and occupational disease cases ex officio.
Meeting our prosecutor service
The MP provides legal consultation services to the public. Upon visiting the Prosecutorial Office at the Primary Court in person and presenting identification documents, members of the public may receive reply to their enquiries by MP staff or schedule an appointment with the prosecutor on duty.
